+ Carrier Membership
For trucks domiciled in Texas
Membership Dues | The membership dues are calculated at $30.00 per year per vehicle, based on vehicles over 10,000 lbs. GVW. Vehicles under 10,000 lbs. GVW will be calculated at $15.00 per year per vehicle.
For trucks not domiciled in Texas
Membership Dues | The membership dues are calculated at $30.00 per year per vehicle, based on vehicles over 10,000 pounds GVW for every 60,000 Texas miles traveled. Vehicles under 10,000 lbs. GVW will be calculated at $15.00 per year per vehicle for every 60,000 Texas miles traveled.
Minimum/Maximum Dues
In both categories, minimum dues are $330 and maximum dues are $13,200 per year. The dues payments may be made annually.
One-Time Initiation Fee
There is a one-time initiation fee of $45.00 which includes, a copy of the Texas Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (a $60.00 value) for new Carrier members only and periodic updates that can be downloaded from the member's only portion of the TMTA website at no additional charge. This is to keep Carrier members fully informed on the ever-changing regulations that govern the industry. (Additional copies to TMTA members are $50.00 each.)

Level 1 Membership
National Member | $1,100/yr.
Eligibility | Your company offers products and/or services to the commercial motor carrier industry on a nationwide or global basis.
Level 2 Membership
Statewide Member | $660/yr.
Eligibility | Your company offers products and/or services to the commercial motor carrier industry on a statewide basis.
Level 3 Membership
Regional Member | $440/yr.
Eligibility | Your company offers products and/or services to the commercial motor carrier industry on a regional basis (doing business with carrier members in metroplex or regional territory).
Level 4 Membership
Local Member | $220/yr.
Eligibility | Your company offers products and/or services to the commercial motor carrier industry on a local basis (doing business with carrier members in city listed, only).
Representative Listings
National Members | Up to five representative listings in the membership directory with mailings to up to five locations.
Statewide Members | Up to three representative listings in the membership directory with mailings to up to three locations.
Regional Members | Up to two representative listings in the membership directory with mailings to up to two locations.
Local Members | One representative listing in the membership directory with mailings to one location.
Please Note: A company under single ownership with multiple branch locations may participate. Although costs may be shared by branch locations, dues must be billed to and paid from a single location.

As an industry, we must stay involved in the political process and take control of our future. Your involvement in TMTA will help the association increase its effectiveness and power so we can better represent all truckers operating in Texas. Our goal is to enhance the bottom line of our members and we continually look for ways to make our truckers more profitable.
What Does it Cost Me?
TMTA Member Companies: $75/yr | Owner/Operators contracted to TMTA member companies can join for $75 per year. Those not affiliated with TMTA member companies are still eligible for membership at only $105 per year.
Non-TMTA Member Companies: $105/yr | Now, owner/operators can join TMTA and benefit from communications and valuable member services. We know independent contracts operate on a tight budget and need cost-effective sources of information and other valuable services. We've taken that into consideration by reducing the minimum TMTA carrier member dues by more than 60 percent.
What Do I Get?
Member Discount Program | Owner/operators who join TMTA are eligible for all member group discount programs, including insurance, tires, long distance and our custom products such as log books, forms, back belts, accident kits and much more. We use our group purchasing power to bring discounts to owner/operators and small fleets normally available to only the largest carriers. We're currently examining new discount programs designed specifically for owner/operators.
A Voice in the Industry | Membership in TMTA also means a seat at the table when it comes to developing policy that impacts owner/operators and the entire trucking industry operating in Texas. In addition, TMTA works closely with regulatory agencies in Texas, including DPS and TxDOT, to solve routine issues on a one-to-one basis. In short, we're your Austin office. Owner/Operator members of TMTA also receive a variety of association publications with the latest trends and issues.
Who Can Join TMTA?
Membership in TMTA is open to any trucker operating in Texas | However, this new dues level is intended for owner/operators, with no more than four trucks, who drive their own truck.
Annual dues can be paid by check or credit card and are due with the TMTA application | Membership approval usually takes less than 24 hours after receipt by TMTA of the application and payment. Members are eligible for all member discount programs although any credit extension is subject to credit approval.
